Couture prices for finished garments depend on design complexity, and fabric and notion costs. The
following are base prices for couture garments and include the design fee, muslin test garment, fittings
and sewing labor:
Evening $1,000
Bridal $1,500
Jacket $1000
Trousers $500
Skirt $400
Long Coat $900
Couture garment work requires a 30% non-refundable design deposit. An additional 40% is paid upon
client approval of the muslin test garment. The balance is due upon completion of the garment.

Quality Materials
- Quality fabrics including silks, woolens and cashmere are selected for the garment
- Linings, trims, buttons, zippers and hem chains can be made from silk, leather and gold
- Color/shade/fabric may be one that is not readily available in ready to wear
Couture Construction Techniques
- Design is draped on client in cotton muslin to test style and fit
- Fully underlined and interfaced by hand
- Collars are pad stitched by hand
- Taped roll lines and leading edges
- Jacket hems are chain-weighted
- Time-consuming hand sewing is frequently used to shape the fabric and keep stitching invisible
- Structural support is achieved With hidden layers of silk or cotton organza, batiste and flannel
